VIP membership VIP membership paid but having problems If you just have paid for a VIP membership, but still have to go to a different page and wait for your download to start, there are a few possible explanations. Make sure to check your account settings under the account menu to see if the system has identified that you have active VIP membership days. At the Account Summery it should show how many VIP membership days you still have. If you have no VIP membership days, your subscription has not gone through yet. It may take a little while.
If it says you have VIP membership days and you still can't download directly, then it might be necessary to log out and then log back in to the site. Do you have this problem on all pages, or is it just on a few? If it's only on a few, then it's probably because you had browsed those pages before buying the subscription, and they are thereby cached in your browser. Clearing your browser cache should solve this problem. If this is still not working please contact TSR support, by mailing a message to [email protected]. How to cancel a VIP membership The Sims Resource does not refund already started payment periods.
All Vip membership subscriptions will auto-renew monthly, 6-monthly or yearly, depending on which period you've chosen. You can at all times cancel the auto-renewal on this page:. Your VIP membership will stay valid for all the days you've already paid for. So the cancelled status on this page is purely indicating that it will no longer auto-renew.
REGISTER I have not received a verification from TSR after I registered for an account. Although the verification e-mail is sent out from the TSR servers instantly, it might still take some time before it lands in your inbox.
Normally you should get it within a few minutes though. You might also want to check you spam folder, it might have ended up there. If you still haven't received the verification e-mail after several hours, please contact TSR Support by sending a mail to [email protected]. Is TSR Safe to use?

No matter of all TSR's efforts in keeping TSR safe, browsing the Internet does always involve the risk of having your computer infected. So we strongly recommend you having an up-to-date security package installed. TSR uses VeriSign for all Registration and Subscriptions transactions to insure your personal information is safe. TSR recommend SUPERAntiSpyware, which is among the best anti-spyware solutions on the market. And it is available in a free version. Facebook login You can sign in to TSR using facebook as an option to log in using a TSR email and password.
This works for both existing accounts and for new members that don't already have a TSR account. The first time you sign in using facebook you will see a page that asks you if you want to link to an existing account or if you would like to create a new account. If you create a new account then this new account will be used for any future facebook logins, and this will be the only way to log in since the regular TSR email and password method wont work for that account.

This lets you use our service free of all ads and unlocks access to our popular Download Basket and Quick Download features.
I said that it's 'nearly impossible' to download it without paying - because the site lags, is full of ads and flash, etc. It takes a very long time to download a small amount of CC for free. That's what I was saying - I didn't claim it was impossible. Edit: Let me also add that TSR 'weighs down' the site (meaning: with ridiculous site lag) purposely so that people will be interested in VIP. It's a business tactic. They would definitely be able to have ads that don't slow the site down so much. Even with Ghostery and Adblock, it's ridiculous.
Obviously this works on some people.
I get a TON of messages asking why TSR Workshop isn't showing items for TS3 and/or TS4 when you try to start a new project. This is a common issue and can be fixed very easily.
All this issue means is that TSR Workshop can not find your game paths. Whatsapp for nokia x2. Programs we will be using:. Here are a few links for those who need more help with learning TSR Workshop:.
First, make sure you have the games installed. If you are trying to use TSR for TS3 or TS4 you must have the base game installed. If you are wanting to use anything in a EP/SP you must also have those packs installed. If you do not have these items installed you can not use TSR Workshop.
This is your game paths. For each EP/SP there is a path that TSR workshop needs to find the files for each game. Here is a list of where you will find each game path.
I'm going to watch how this one develops, because there's got to be a catch. Typically, you don't give up a known revenue stream for a trial of ad sales you hope will equal, or, even better, exceed your subscription model. And it's not like TSR has been run as a non-profit entity devoted to the free and open sharing of Sims game content. And while they do have some content that's subscriber only which might be tempting, there's still a lot of stuff that gets posted there that isn't very enticing. I wonder if they know something we don't about the future of custom content with 4 now on the radar for release in about a year from now. I wouldn't be at all surprised if this paved the way for some EA/TSR involvement with CC along for TS4. EA chose TSR to partner with on custom content dealing for The Sims Online, only interrupted by TSO being taken down.
There was recently a period of cooling of relationships where TSR were not invited to events, but that appears to have warmed again in time for TSR to become a yibsim for the TS4 unveiling. Apparently this move has been in the planning for a while, so it could be that EA indicated that while they tend to turn a blind eye to paysites, they can hardly be seen to be partnering with one! The potential benefit to us (apart from more free content to gorge on) is that EA might therefore share details of TS4 formats with TSR and therefore facilitate creation of modding and creating tools, which I have predicted would be quite a hurdle for us unaided. Of course a lot of the content is still rubbish and I hope there will continue to be a way to filter by quality (i.e. Keep featured artists or whatever they are). I feel like a war has finally ended. Still sort of confused as to why EA would ever have partnered with TSR, but I was not on the net during my TS1 days so I'm not qualified to comment.
I will refrain from judgement on TSR unless anything proves to be awry, but it is certainly good (from where I'm standing) that they have adopted an ad-supported model. They could be making plenty out of it, if Youtube is anything to go by, especially by removing any barriers on who can be viewing/downloading. Sit traffic must be up by miles.

OK first of all the things on the sims resource is easy to download without any issues at all u do not even need an extra installer program.the stuff here u need to be a friggin genius to install it on ur computer then onto ur sims 3 game! I pay the subscription to tsr and also have an account here. I spend more time on tsr because the the stuff is nicer, higher quality for the most part and easy to find in my sims game. I have been trying to install things off this site for 3 weeks and cant get anything to download I get error messages and messages saying I cant open files as archive even though I have 7zip. So my answer to ur question is NO tsr isnt evil in my book this site is!! I'm new to Sims but I'm totally addicted to Sims 3.
I like to make my house and people very Victorian looking. And the Sims Resource has some nice things, but everyone says it's evil. So I was wondering if it's as evil as everyone says and why. Also, if anyone likes nice Victorian clothes, All About Style is the best so far. Anyone had any good Sims3 sites for jewelry? For one thing don't listen to that first person.
To download most things on tsr all ya have to do is click 'download' and do whatever you need to do start downloads on your computer. No moving things around and finding the right folder to put them in like on here. I allmost never use this site less i feel i need to. You evidently use a very unique definition of genius, McgooDavey. The problems with TSR aren't really about the website itself or the content (though of course, some people dislike them because they have pay stuff - that's a whole can of worms I'm not opening). The fact is that over the years, TSR's leadership have pulled some very dishonourable stunts, which have caused a great deal of heartache to many people throughout the community; creators have stopped creating, sites have been forced to close, and nasty arguments and rumours have been spawned. There are of course also the allegations of TSR sharing its subscribers' credit card info publicly, which are covered pretty fully by the link above - I don't know if those allegations are true or not.
(What is true is that their backend security is shite, however, so I would recommend using a unique password and a throwaway virtual credit card or paypal account if you must subscribe - since if anyone ever decides to hack them, they will meet no resistance and will end up with a nice big plain text list of sellable personal details) The majority of members and creators at TSR are perfectly nice folks. The majority of content is, well, mediocre, but that's ok; I don't have any particular problem with content from TSR.
The reason why I don't touch the site with a ten foot bargepole is that I will not condone the kind of behaviour TSR's leadership have engaged in in the past; that is, deliberately aggressive and divisive behaviour, which treats anyone not on TSR as competition, and therefore fair game, in the interest of turning a quick buck. Lastly but most importantly - welcome to MTS, apathyswhore! Interesting choice of username there. I really dislike TSR, but I love it here. I wouldn't suggest going to TSR since.well they've done some bad things to people.
MTS has high quality stuff, don't let a soul lie to you. MTS is one the best site IMO to download from because it is COMPLETELY 100% FREE, unlike TSR where you have to pay money to get about 90% of their items. MTS also has really great people on it who just want others to be happy with their work, which is so nice to see. And all you have to do is go google search Winrar, get it for free, then come download whatever, save it, and extract it to Documents/EAGAMES/Thesims2/downloads, and bam it's in your game. All I really do is copy the whole document link and just paste it.
So much quicker;D Enjoy your stay ^.^. McgooDavey, if you think this site is evil, why are you here? No, TSR isn't 'evil.' Like other people are saying, some adminstrators and creators are.not very nice people. They've got some cool creators there, but I would suggest taking some precautions. Alot of creators here have accounts on TSR, download stuff at TSR, and use TSR custom content in their creation advertising/modeling/etc.
If you want to know more about their 'bad' reputation, go to the. I personally don't use them, because alot of their stuff is unappealing to me, and alot of the actual good stuff is pay. And if you download there most people will not judge you.
I'll stay with this site, but go ahead and have fun with your sims! I'm new to Sims but I'm totally addicted to Sims 3. I like to make my house and people very Victorian looking.
